It’s Day 6, and Gadar 2 continues to sledge its hammer on Box office as it crosses the mark of Rs 260 cr at domestic box office. Expected Day 7 earning to be 23 crore.

Gadar 2, the sequel of the 2001 hit Gadar, has unleashed a storm at the domestic box office and its euphoria is not going to slow down soon, it can be seen by its historic collection on Box Office on eve of Independence Day, the film garnered collection of Rs 55.40 crore and on working Wednesday films collection reported to be Rs 34.50 crore. Cumulatively, films Day 6 collection stands at more than 260 crore.

Notably, Bollywood analyst Taran Adarsh took to X and described it as a “TYPHOON – TSUNAMI – HURRICANE,” showcasing its monumental impact.

Taran Adarsh’s tweet encapsulated the film’s unwavering power: “TYPHOON – TSUNAMI – HURRICANE, that’s the power of #Gadar2 at the #BO… Yet another ₹30 cr+ day [working day] … UNSHAKABLE and UNAFFECTED, especially in mass pockets… Total: ₹261.35 cr…”

This unyielding momentum underscored Gadar 2’s resounding success, even on weekdays. Occupancy remained robust at 56.09% on Wednesday accumulating over Rs 34.50 crore.

Beyond the box office storm, Gadar 2’s critical reception has been intriguing.
Saibal Chatterjee, a film critic, awarded the movie two stars out of five. He dissected the film, stating that it primarily caters to three groups: Sunny Deol’s enthusiasts, those nostalgic for Bollywood’s extravagant past, and supporters of a divisive narrative. It’s a cinematic tapestry that invokes varied emotions and thoughts.

Directed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 theatrical release coincided with the arrival of Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2, setting the stage for an epic showdown on the big screen. However, Gadar 2 has left an indelible mark, surging ahead despite competition and critical voices.

The sequel’s meteoric rise has positioned it as the year’s second-highest domestic grosser, trailing only behind Pathaan. With a burgeoning collection, Gadar 2 has already eclipsed the lifetime earnings of The Kerala Story, solidifying its place among the elite.

As Gadar 2 continues its journey, Ameesha Patel, a key player in the film’s success, gears up for her next venture. Titled “Mystery Of The Tattoo,” this enigmatic tale is set to release on September 1. The intriguing plot follows an art student entwined in a sinister web of psychological occurrences and hallucinations, orchestrated by an enigmatic neighbor with a chilling motive.
