Samantha Ruth Prabhu Recalls Suffering Concussion On Citadel Honey Bunny Sets; ‘Completely Blanked Out’

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is gearing up for the release of his Amazon Prime show, Citadel Honey Bunny. The show marks her second collaboration with The Family Man directors Raj & DK. The show will see her in a leading role as one of the spies in the Citadel universe. While talking about her filming, she revealed that she did a lot of her stunts and even suffered a concussion during filming.

In an interview with Galatta India, Samantha revealed that during filming one injury of hers also led to concussion. She said, “I had a concussion and I forgot the names after that. I completely blanked out. That was quite something.” She jokingly added that at the time nobody rushed her to the hospital. “Now that I think of it, nobody took me to the hospital. Nobody asked me.”

However, the show’s writer, Sita Menon clarified the situation and said they didn’t rush her to a hospital because there was a doctor on call but Samantha does not remember because of her condition at the time.

Despite her injury, Samantha revealed she wanted to continue shooting, “I remember, during my concussion, hearing that we have the set only for less than a day, we need to finish the shoot. So in my concussion, I was like, ‘I am coming, people, I am coming.’ Then I remember the stunt guy was in front of me, and then I was like, ‘What am I doing?’ and they were like, ‘Okay, cut, not happening.’”

For the unversed, Citadel: Honey Bunny set in the 90s is a spinoff of the Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden-starrer Citadel. Led by Samantha Ruth Prabhu, it also stars Varun Dhawan in the leading role. According to reports, they play the role of parents to Priyanka Chopra’s character and are both agents of the spy agency Citadel.
