There was a time—summer 2023, if we’re being specific—when Hailey Bieber was nary seen without an enormous clutch tucked underneath her arm. It didn’t matter what she was doing or wearing: a chartreuse satin Prada top met its match with a lime green Bottega Veneta pouch bag; an orange version of the clutch stood in as a gym bag. In the nearly two years since, Bieber has embraced a litany of other purses, from top handles to shoulder bags, though it seems that she’s firmly back on team oversized clutch.
Last night, Bieber joined Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner for dinner at Sushi Park in West Hollywood where she revived her pouch obsession. The Rhode Beauty entrepreneur kept her base look simple in a white tank top and low-slung, wide-legged indigo jeans that cascaded over a pair of black pointy-toe pumps. But she upped the glam factor with her outerwear: a white furry shin-length coat with black flecks. On the accessories front, she wore her handy-dandy slim Otra sunglasses, and carried her black envelope bag under her arm.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Bieber carrying this purse. Last week, she declared the outsized clutch to be a church bag, bringing it along to a post-worship date night at Giorgio Baldi with husband Justin Bieber.
So while this black bag is a bit more subtle than the citrus-hued pouches of yore, Hailey Bieber is—once again—all in on the oversized clutch.
