IIT Madras has started accepting applications for the Executive MBA program offered by the Department of Management Studies (DoMS). Interested candidates can register till October 20 at doms.iitm.ac.in/admission.
These selected candidates will then be short-listed based on a written aptitude test and personal interviews that are to be held at the IIT Madras Campus on November 8, 9, and 10. The written test has been designed to test a candidate’s business acumen, logical reasoning, quantitative ability, and verbal aptitude. The results of the selection process are scheduled to be declared in December 2024, with the program slated to begin in January 2025.
An Executive MBA is a professional program meant for mid-career professionals as a vehicle to develop managerial skills to work with modern organisations. In view of the large number of working professionals, it is conducted on campus on alternate weekends that is Saturday and Sunday.
According to Prof. M. Thenmozhi, Head of Management Studies, “This two-year degree will equip students with the skills and mindset needed to succeed in a rapidly changing landscape, thus helping them stay relevant and advance their careers.”.
The curriculum will be a mix of research-oriented teaching and industry practice, therefore giving the students relevant and impactful education. Opportunities to connect with business leaders and successful alumni will also be given to the students.
