MWC 2025: HMD’s New Phones Include Detox Mode For A Healthier Mobile Experience

At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, HMD Global, the Finnish phone maker, introduced four exciting new devices that highlight its commitment to creating technology that puts people first. The company launched two feature phones, the HMD 130 and HMD 150 Music, along with two smartphones made in collaboration with FC Barcelona: the HMD Barça 3210 and HMD Barça Fusion. These new devices showcase HMD’s ability to cater to a wide range of consumers, from those looking for simple, long-lasting phones to fans who want a more personalized, sports-centric smartphone experience.

The HMD 130 and HMD 150 Music are designed for people who value straightforward, practical phones that get the job done without all the distractions of modern smartphones. These feature phones cater to the growing demand for devices that offer long battery life and essential features. With up to a month of standby time, Bluetooth 5.0, microSD card support, and an integrated FM radio, both phones focus on simplicity and reliability.

The HMD 130 comes with a dual torch at the top, while the HMD 150 Music offers a 0.3MP VGA camera and a torch. The HMD 130 is available in Dark Grey, Blue, and Red, while the HMD 150 Music comes in Dark Grey, Midnight Purple, and Aqua Blue, giving consumers a variety of color options. These phones are perfect for people who just want a dependable, no-fuss device.

On the other hand, the HMD Barça Fusion is a smartphone designed specifically for FC Barcelona fans, making it a unique collector’s item. It features a “detox mode” that allows users to silence notifications and minimize distractions, promoting a more balanced and mindful way of using technology. This feature is part of HMD’s broader focus on digital wellbeing, ensuring that technology is used in a way that doesn’t overwhelm users.

The HMD Barça Fusion also comes with an exclusive “Fusion Smart Outfit,” which is engraved with signatures from 11 FC Barcelona players. These signatures, from stars like Marc-André ter Stegen, Robert Lewandowski, Pedri, and Gavi, even glow in the dark when exposed to UV light, making it a fun and personal touch for fans. Plus, the device comes preloaded with exclusive Barça visuals, player greetings, and alarm sounds from players like Lewandowski and Gavi. The phone also features the official FC Barcelona app, further enhancing the fan experience.

With these new releases, HMD Global demonstrates its ongoing focus on user-centered design and functionality, whether it’s through simple, long-lasting phones or exclusive, fan-focused devices. By offering a balance of practical features and fun, personalized experiences, HMD continues to make its mark in the competitive mobile market.
