Rajasthan: Tiger Strays From Sariska Reserve, Attacks 3 People In Dausa; Condition Critical

Jaipur: A tiger suspected to be missing from Sariska Tiger Reserve has attacked three people including a woman in Dausa district of Rajasthan on Wednesday morning. The condition of all three is reported to be critical and have been referred to Sawai Mansingh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur.

The incident took place at 7.30 am in Mahukhurd village of Bandikui in Dausa district. Sarpanch of the village, Pushpendra Sharma said that the tiger was sitting near the bushes in a street near Koli locality of the village.

Hearing some strange, Uga Mahavar (45) went towards the bushes. Before she could understand anything, the tiger attacked her back. Vinod (42) and Babulal Meena (48) who tried to save the woman were also attacked by the tiger. All three got seriously injured.

Notably, two tigers of Sariska Tiger Reserve have been missing for the last 20 days and their location is said to be around Jaipur and Dausa and the attacking tiger is suspected to be one of them. The spot where the incident happened is about 30 kms away from Sariska.

Forest Ranger of Bandikui Deepak Sharma said that there is a possibility that this tiger has reached here from Sariska. Three teams of Sariska have reached the spot to rescue the tiger.
