Bajaj is gearing up to launch yet another version of Pulsar, this time at the bottom end of the range. The Chakan-based manufacturer is going to launch a new Pulsar N125 tomorrow, i.e., on 17 October 2024. This will be the third 125cc Pulsar in the Bajaj lineup after the classic Pulsar 125 and the Pulsar NS125.

Test mules of the Pulsar NS125 have been spied on numerous occasions in the past year or so. Now, Bajaj has officially teased the launch of the Pulsar N125 on its social media handles. The short teaser video shares glimpses of the upcoming entry-level Pulsar partially which appears to wear a brand new purple shade.

In another teaser, the caption says that the bike is “made to zig zag through traffic, designed to cut the chaos.” The latest teaser also reveals some interesting graphics on the tank extensions, especially the yellow fluorescent accents on the Pulsar branding flaunted on the fuel tank. The faux carbon fibre treatment on the fenders and fuel tank give the bike a youthful appearance since it will be targeted at a younger generation of riders.

A large part of the design is based on the new-gen Pulsars including the Pular N150 with a sharp front fascia featuring a split LED lighting setup, extended tank shrouds, a single-piece seat, a single-piece grab rail, and a floating tail section. From previous spy shots, we also notice the new Pulsar gets an underbelly exhaust.

In terms of features, the Pulsar N125 will come equipped with a fully-digital instrument console and probably Bluetooth connectivity. A turn-by-turn navigation system may not be on offer in the entry-level Pulsar, keeping the cost in mind. Hardware components will include a steel chassis that sits on telescopic forks up front and monoshock at the rear. Braking duties will be carried out by a front disc brake and a rear drum brake, most likely to be aided by a single-channel ABS.

There is still ambiguity regarding the powertrain but it is possible that Bajaj will use a brand new 125cc engine which is expected to be at par with the competition. Speaking of competition, the Bajaj Pulsar N125 will compete against sporty commuter 125cc bikes such as TVS Raider, Hero Xtreme 125R, and Honda SP125. Expect it to be priced under Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom).
