The ongoing Winter Session of Parliament of India has seen opposition INDIA bloc trying to corner the government over the issue of industrialist Gautam Adani who they allege has close ties with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
NDA in turn has accused that Gandhi family was planning to destabilise India by colluding with George Soros, a billionaire philanthropist.
The Opposition has claimed that proceedings of the Houses are adjourned whenever Adani’s name comes up.
“The BJP government has turned the Parliament into the ‘Lajvanti’ (Mimosa plant). The House gets adjourned the moment Adani’s name comes up… We are distributing the National Flag following the Parliamentary decorum,” said Congress MP Sukhdeo Bhagat as quoted by news agency ANI.
“We have distributed the national flag and have requested them to not sell the country and take the country forward. Unfortunately, we are seeing that Adani is running the country these days… Everything is being given to him and the voice of the poor is being suppressed. We are against the conspiracy to sell the country,” said Congress MP Varsha Gaikwad who was quoted by ANI.
