Jawan’s Plot
The movie kicks off with a train hijacking.
Shahrukh, playing a bald character, demands to talk to the agriculture minister in exchange for the passengers’ safety. The catch is that he wants an amount that the government can’t get in just five minutes. But onboard is the daughter of a powerful businessman named Kaali, played by Vijay Sethupathi. He’s also behind a scheme to forgive seven lakh farmers’ debts. The government faces a tough choice – save the passengers or negotiate with the hijacker.
The movie then jumps 30 years into the future. Shah Rukh Khan is now Vikram Rathore, a police officer who’s also a bit of a Robin Hood, helping ordinary people. But is he the same person we saw at the beginning? Or are they different? That’s what the story explores.
The film here addresses crucial issues like farmer suicides, corporate greed, and environmental problems caused by profit-driven industries. It digs deep into corruption and shows how soldiers struggle with inadequate weapons.
A Movie for Everyone
“Jawan” is a pretty long movie, running for 2 hours and 45 minutes. Surprisingly, we doesn’t bored. However, because the story moves quickly, you might wish for more in some parts. Scenes like the farmer’s suicide and the hospital’s oxygen crisis could have been explored more. Also, while the ending is exciting and stylish, it could have had a more emotional finish.
Movie is crafted in a way that when you start feeling it’s dragging, an exhilarating sequence will grab your attention. Shah Rukh Khan appears to thoroughly enjoy wearing multiple hats in the film.
