Premiered in December 2024, Harsh Gujral hosted his dark comedy show The Escape Room alongside other guests. The premise consisted of contestants getting the opportunity to disclose their deepest and darkest secrets anonymously, while the judges reacted to it. While only two episodes of the show were released on the comedian’s YouTube Channel, the episodes have now been deleted. It makes one wonder if he took to the decision as his show also had dark humour and explicit jokes, just like Samay Raina’s now-deleted controversial show India’s Got Latent.
Talking about the show, The Escape Room’s official Instagram handle has 34.1k followers. The previously public account has now been made private. However, it is to be noted that the show’s snippets shared on Harsh’s personal IG account, through collaborative posts, are still up. It seems like he is trying to avoid being the face of a controversy, given his Bollywood film Mere Husband Ki Biwi, co-starring Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, and Rakul Preet Singh, released on the big screens today, February 21, 2025. The comedian is yet to reveal how he pulled down the episodes of The Escape Room.

As per BookMyShow’s description, the show is “about escape from the idealistic world where few selected people will come and share the darkest and funniest confessions from the lives with Escape Master, Harsh Gujral and other escape therapists (comedians) who will give a lighter twist to their guilt and misery.”
As investigation in the India’s Got Latent controversy continues, it all started when Ranveer Allahbadia asked a contestant a controversial “would you rather” question. He asked, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life, or would you join in once and stop it forever?” Despite the question being old and overused in many shows across the countries, it sparked an outrage among the netizens.

Multiple FIRs have been filed against Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija and others for promoting obscenity and vulgarity online through the former’s now-deleted stand up show. The content creators had come under fire after they made disrespectful, obscene comments and used vulgar language on the show, which caused an uproar on social media.
