Musician and singer Arijit Singh often takes the internet by storm with his down-to-earth personality and friendly nature towards his admirers. One of the most beloved musicians in India, he is often praised by everyone for his humble nature. He recently left his fans gushing during his live concert in Chandigarh, when instead of ignoring, he received a video call from his father in the midst of a performance and even introduced the latter to his fans.
A video of the same has now gone viral on social media, where he is seen crooning his song Sajni Re from the film Laapataa Ladies. During the performance, he receives his father’s video call. Instead of ignoring it, he picks up the phone while continuing with his singing. He goes on to introduce his father to all the concert attendants. He turns his phone towards them and announces, “My dad’s on video call.”

It is safe to say that the gesture has taken social media by storm and is winning over the internet. As soon as videos of the same went viral on YouTube, netizens rushed to the comment section of the post to hail him and admire him for his simplicity. Many pointed out that no matter how big of a celebrity one becomes, their father’s call is very difficult to ignore.
One wrote, “It’s prove No matter who are you how busy you are, you can’t ignore your father’s call, Arijit sir. You are gem.” Another wrote, “Ohhh such a proud moment.” Other one said, “Unfold right before his eyes—even if it’s just through a video call. The world chanting his son’s name, their voices rising in unison. Can you picture the pride in his father’s eyes? The way his heart must be swelling, overwhelmed with emotions too deep for words? The memories must be rushing back—holding his little boy’s tiny hands, teaching him his first lessons, wiping his tears after failures, and whispering, ‘One day, the world will know your name’.”
