Marvel is gearing up for the release of its next TV show, titled Daredevil: Born Again. The show is set to follow another street-level superhero Daredevil, who previously already made appearances in other Marvel projects like Spider-man No Way Home, She-Hulk and many more. Daredevil or Matt Murdock, his real identity as a blind lawyer. Murdock was blinded in childhood by a chemical accident that gave him special abilities. According to reports, Murdock has four superhuman abilities, compensating for the loss of his sight. Daredevil’s superhuman senses include tactile (touch); olfactory (smell); auditory (hearing); and gustatory (taste).
The new show will not be focusing on his origin story as this is not his first screen appearance. Daredevil is not new to fans of the comics or MCU. Before making appearances for Marvel films and shows, he already had his own series in the Netflix superhero universe. Daredevil previously led a three-season series alongside, a mini-series titled The Defenders which also included Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. He also had major implications in the world of other superheroes and villains including The Punisher and Kingpin. With his story spread over several seasons and other series across the MCU, here’s everything you need to know before watching Daredevil Born Again.
Matt Murdock Netflix Series
Matt Murdock is a blind lawyer by day and a superhuman masked vigilante by night who fights crime. Murdock gained his powers loosing his eyesight in an accident as a kid. During his Netflix series, Murdok’s firm with partner Foggy Nelson is struggling financially. But after working him Karen Page, they manag to uncover corruption and all the criminal activity in Hell’s Kitchen. It also marks Daredevil’s first interaction with Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin, who gets arrested. Through out the series, over three seasons, Murdok goes on to fight Fisk on several occasions and go against The Hand.

The Defenders
A spin off miniseries brough together the Netflix superhero group aka Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Daredevil to defeat the criminal organization, the Hand. They were seen working on a regenerative elixir that comes from the bones of dragons. The deposits for The Substance were underneath New York and to prevent the destruction of the city the Defenders come together. At the end of the show, Murdock was thought to have died with Elektra but he survived. However, Elektra’s death was not confirmed either.
The Punisher
Castle aka the Punisher first appeared in the second season of Daredevil as a vigilante dedicated to eradicating all crime. While his mission were similar to those of Daredevil his ways often put then at odds with each other. He is eventually arrested by when Freed by Fisk he decides to leave his life behind. However, he returns to being the Punisher and when last seen he fully embraces his identify as the vigilante. Rumour has it, he will appear in Born Again, challenging Daredevil’s perspective and ways of eradicating crime in Hell’s Kitchen.
The Blip
During the blip, aka the five year gap from the Infinity war, the studio never cleared the air of what happened to the characters from Daredevil. If, how many and which characters were blipped out of existence as the show was cancelled before the events in the films took place.

Kingpin Arc
Despite his defeat more than once, Wilson Fisk is one of the big power players of crime in New York. His story continues through shows like Hawkeye and Echo. However, he doesn’t give up on his criminal life, he does manage to clear up his name and after his encounter with Hawkeye, and after being shot by Echo in the face, he is all set to run for Mayor in the New York City.
Daredevil also make appearances in recent releases like Echo and She-Hulk leading up to his on screen return for Daredevil : Born Again. The show is set to premiere on March 5 in Hindi, English, Tamil and Telugu only on JioHotstar.
