Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently jetted off to Dubai to support his nephew Ayaan Agnihotri at the launch of his debut music track, Universal Laws, on 20 February 2025. Ayaan, who goes by the stage name Agni, is the son of Salman’s sister Alvira Khan Agnihotri and filmmaker Atul Agnihotri. The event turned into a grand family affair, with Salman taking center stage to introduce the song, while also making a lighthearted comment about nepotism that got everyone talking.
During the launch, Salman addressed the crowd with a cheeky remark, saying, “That’s what nepotism is, I am launching my nephew’s song.” The audience, including Ayaan, burst into laughter, and the moment quickly became a highlight of the evening. He didn’t stop there, adding, “His (Ayaan) parents, good producers. Both the kids, Alizeh and Ayaan,” giving a shoutout to Ayaan’s sister Alizeh Agnihotri as well. The comment sparked cheers from the attendees, who appreciated Salman’s playful take on the often-debated topic in Bollywood.
Universal Laws, an English single, marks Ayaan’s entry into the music scene as a singer, composer, and rapper. The track’s music video premiered on Ayaan’s YouTube channel, Agni, and is now available on all major streaming platforms. The launch was a star-studded event, attended by family members like Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Alvira, Atul, and others, along with celebrities such as Bobby Deol and Sonakshi Sinha. Ayaan, thrilled by the support, shared, “There’s no better feeling in the world than receiving acceptance and support from your loved ones. Everyone’s been so kind and I’m grateful to them all, always.”
Salman’s presence added extra buzz to the event, especially as he’s gearing up for his next big release, Sikandar, set to hit theaters on 28 March 2025. For now, though, all eyes are on Ayaan’s musical debut and Salman’s candid embrace of family ties in the industry.
