Bollywood actress Sanya Malhotra is currently on cloud nine as her film Mrs is being loved by one and all. An official remake of the Jeo Baby’s Malayalam film The Great Indian Kitchen, the movie follows the journey of a new bride thrust into taking the responsibility of becoming a housewife. While a section of the internet has been terming the film as ‘feminist propaganda’, women are lauding it for showing their true plight. Amidst it all, Sanya’s older movies are also gaining too much love and appreciation from the audiences.
While the Arati Kadav directorial was released in Zee5, netizens are flocking back to Netflix to watch her older films Pagglait and Meenakshi Sundareshwar, making them most-watched films on Netflix. The films are currently ranking on the 4th and 5th position of Netflix’s homepage, under the banner ‘Top 10 movies in India Today.’ A snippet of the same has now gone viral, leaving fans extremely proud of the Kathal actress.

Even the Mrs director took to her official X (formerly known as Twitter) handle to express her excitement about this ‘rare’ occurrence. Arati tweeted, “This is so rare. Our film Mrs is impacting Netflix’s ranking as people are watching other films of (star emoji) Sanya Malhotra. Deeply grateful and feeling truly blessed.” As soon as the tweet surfaced on the internet, netizens took to the comment section and expressed how proud they are feeling.
One wrote, “Kindly watch “Kathal”, “Photograph” and “Love Hostel” too while you’re at it. Sanya Malhotra is just so brilliant and deserves all the love and appreciation.” Another wrote, “Big W for Hamari Rebellious Bahu Sanya.” Other one wrote, “Mrs by @AratiKadav on Zee5 is so powerful, it sent Meenakshi Sundareshwar & Pagglait straight back into Netflix’s Top 10.
