Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan made a strong debut in the Hindi entertainment industry with Kedarnath and Simmba. However, despite impressing the audiences with her polite mannerisms and way of speaking, she is still finding her footing as an actress in the field. She recently opened up about her father Saif Ali Khan’s health after the traumatic night of his stabbing incident and how she reacted to the news.
Recalling the incident during her talk at the Times Now Summit 2025, she revealed that she felt shocked and frozen upon getting to know about the incident. Quoted by News18, she said, “I shut down. I don’t remember much—it was a freeze impulse. I didn’t know what was happening. We were lucky that it wasn’t critical. From the hospital to getting updates, those 15-20 minutes felt like a lifetime. But I was relieved very fast.”

The 29-year-old actor was relieved after seeing her father coming out of the hospital smiling. “That’s just who he is,” she added. She mentioned that it is a combination of his nature and his role as a father of four kids, two of whom are small children. “he had to show that he was okay,” she said. Calling Khan a fighter, she revealed that she looks up to him for “never giving up.”
She mentioned that putting on a brave face and saying they are fine, is just the nature of their jobs. Sara went on to reflect on her father’s calm demeanor even under pressure and expressed how he is “much better than others in panic situations. I, on the other hand, panic first, freeze, and cry.”

For those who don’t remember, Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by an intruder at his Bandra residence on January 16. The incident reportedly happened at around 2 AM, when he heard noises from his youngest son Jeh’s room. There he saw the intruder in a heated argument with a female employee. Saif jumped in between them to protect everyone. He got stabbed six times during the altercation and was rushed to the hospital in an auto, accompanied by his son Taimur Ali Khan.
Media reports stated that his medical report, which has surfaced on the internet, mentions that he suffered a 0.5 to 1 cm injury on the left side of his back, a 5 to 10 cm injury in his left wrist, 10-15 cm injury on the right side of his back and a 3-5 cm injury on his right shoulder. He reportedly underwent a two-hour-long surgery at the Lilavati Hospital to remove a 2.5 inch piece of the knife, which was stuck near his spine.
