Days after comedian Sunil Pal’s claim, Welcome and Stree 2 actor Mushtaq Khan also said he was kidnapped. The actor was invited to an event in Meerut, where he was allegedly kidnapped. Reportedly, the actor was paid an advance amount to attend the event, as well as provided with flight tickets.

The actor’s business partner, Shivam Yadav, said the alleged kidnappers tortured the actor for 12 hours and demanded a crore as ransom. They eventually took Rs. 2 lakh from the actor and his son’s account. Mushtaq Khan ran away after he heard the morning azaan, believing a mosque would be close by.

Shivam Yadav told India Today, “Mushtaq Sir and his family were completely shaken over what happened to him. However, he was always sure that he would file an FIR after he composed himself. Yesterday, I went to Bijnor and filed an official FIR. We have proof of the flight ticket, the bank accounts, and even CCTV footage near the airport. He also recognises the neighborhood, even the house where he was kept. I think the police will surely get the culprits soon.”

A few days ago, a similar incident was shared by comedian Sunil Pal, who was reportedly invited to Haridwar to attend an event, where he was kidnapped and was asked for a ransom of Rs. 20 lakh. Pal told Times of India that he didn’t suspect a thing as they had transferred him an advance payment for his performance, and even sent a car to pick him up from the Delhi airport. However, after reaching Meerut, a group of men allegedly transferred him to another vehicle, where they scared him with a poison-filled injection.

The kidnappers reportedly made him transfer Rs. 7.5 lakh after negotiations, and even gave Rs. 20,000 to the actor to book a flight back to Mumbai. “They promised to pay the ransom once they found jobs,” said the comedian. An FIR was filed at the Santacruz Police station after the actor safely returned to Mumbai.
