India’s star cricketer Virat Kohli seems to have unfollowed Ranveer Allahabadia on Instagram amid India’s Got Latent controversy. According to reports, the YouTuber also known as BeerBiceps is no longer visible in Kohli’s following list.
It is safe to assume that Kohli is trying to cut ties with Allahabadia owing to the backlash over the latter’s vulgar comments on comedian Samay Raina’s show.
Allahabadia had asked a contestant, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?” This question has caused a massive uproar and FIR has been filed against the YouTuber along with Samay Raina and others.
Notably, Kohli is just one of the thousands of followers Allahabadia has lost since the controversial episode was posted on YouTube. He has lost over 8,000 followers in just a few days, despite issuing an apology on social media.
Many netizens reacted to Kohli’s decision of distancing himself from Allahabadia who sees the cricketer as an inspiration. He also met Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma at an event in 2023 and posted a selfie on Instagram. Allahabadia had said that it’s his dream of having Kohli on his podcast.

The internet is shocked at the unfolding situation, with many praising Kohli for his move. “#RanveerAllahabadia needs to realise that association with Crass like #SamayRaina & #IndiasGotLatent makes you lose on Class like #ViratKohli & so many others!!” one user posted on X.
“Ranveer ka Virat Kohli ko podcast pe lane ka sapna ab sapna hi reh jayega,” wrote another.
Meanwhile, Allahabadia is due to appear before the police to record his statement before the police. Besides, the episode featuring him has been taken down from YouTube. Raina has also issued an apology saying he has removed all videos of the show on his channel and has promised to cooperate with the police.”
