I am not a party girl. I am more of the ‘in bed by 9.30pm with a good book’ sort. But I do love to dress up (who doesn’t?). And Mango’s new Selection collection is just so beautiful, it has me dusting off my party shoes in preparation of my next night out.
Having me out of the house past 10pm is kind of a big deal, and this partywear is good enough to break the rules, and look fabulous doing it.
Now of course party dresses are nothing new to Mango, however this new Selection line is different, since it sits with the high-street label’s premium offering – but still without breaking the bank (the most expensive skirt retails at just under £120).
Despite it nodding to some of Autumn/Winter 2024’s most popular trends – corsets, chocolate brown, textured eveningwear – it is full of classic and timeless pieces that will see you beyond party season.
Because if there’s one thing I hate, is buying a dress to only wear it once and discard it as soon as the Christmas decorations come down.
The Selection collection includes some higher quality fabrics such as satin, leather and crystals, and is a mix of clothing as well as accessories.
There are some beautiful dresses of course, including a backless Lurex ribbed maxi dress, a short strapless satin dress and an asymmetrical black dress.
But if you aren’t a fan of dresses, there are plenty of chic separates that you can mix and match for countless great looks.
Stand out pieces include a sheer skirt, crystal top, tulle gloves and statement outerwear, all of which can easily be dressed up or down with your favourite denim. Speaking of denim, there is a pair of quite fabulous rhinestone-incrusted jeans in the collection too.
I’ll see you on the dance floor.
