As Charli xcx and Timothée Chalamet proved most recently, a stacked and serious wardrobe is necessary for Saturday Night Live hosting duties. And Mikey Madison stepped right up to the sartorial plate.
How would she play it, was what we were asking all week. The Oscar-winning actor, styled by Jamie Mizrahi, has cultivated a refined and ladylike sense of style that came alive across her awards season campaign. Often, Madison looks to Ferragamo and Chanel for sleek tailoring and feminine silhouettes, while she’s also been known to opt for Bottega Veneta for more dramatic red carpet moments. And when she’s feeling more bohemian and laidback, it’s all about Chloe.
Case in point: Sightings of the Anora actor around the West Village and out and about in New York City while she was in between rehearsals showcased her style. Toting one Chihuahua, she donned a jewel blue Chloe coat, Chanel sunglasses, a Michael Kors Nolita bag, Levis jeans, and Christian Louboutin velvet ankle boots. On another day, she wore another fuzzy, chocolate Afghan coat by Chloe, and the massive, espresso brown Brunello Cucinelli BC Duo bag—dog once again in hand.
The chihuahuas were put aside as she joined SNL yesterday evening (March 29), and expectations were high. She began the evening in her opening monologue ensemble dressed in a sequin black halterneck dress with a plunging neckline from Patou, with Tiffany & Co link earrings and a matching silver bracelet Her hair, by longtime hairstylist Rena Calhoun, followed her signature style of bombshell waves.
In promotional shots and visuals shared for the SNL episode, Madison can also be seen wearing a fresh off the runway gown by Harris Reed from the fall 2025 collection—the dramatic dress features two three-dimensional, spiky cups across the bust, a chest cut-out, and a flowing black train. Promo shots also see the actor slip into a sparky tulle strapless Valentino gown, and a sexy and sheer, gold boned Dolce and Gabbana corset with bullet bra cups. In another promo clip, she looked again to the lacier side of Chemena Kamali’s Chloe, wearing a sheer white crochet, cap-sleeved top with a white feathered headpiece.
Elsewhere, we see Madison in a plunging archival Mugler mini-dress with a sculptural low neckline, and in the opening intros, in Versace silver chainmail mini-dress; quite like that of the famed Paris Hilton style. Given the stylistic beat of Anora, this fun sparkly number made a lot of sense.
Across the evening, Madison slipped into more delightful costumes for the acting skits at hand—the “Group Chat Cold Open” sketch saw her don a Forever 21 tracksuit, while “So Like…What Are We” saw her completely change her hair color to a more caramel tone and a hot pink halter dress. And for one of her final hosting solo moments, she wore a white feathered Courreges top.
A peak sketch also saw Madison get freaky, and debut in an interesting new turn…As Squidward. Blue nose and all.
Overall, it was a fantastical and high-fashion night for the Oscar winner and fashion darling Mikey Madison. And the world comes alive!
