Sydney Sweeney Slings a Belt Over Her Anti-Bridal Corset

Wiederhoeft’s “corset program” has been a femme fatale silhouetted clarion call for the girls, a rallying cry made louder with a particularly nipped-in and sleek spring 2025 runway collection Sydney Sweeney is the latest to heed it.

Designer Jackson Wiederhoeft is a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist that’s enamored the likes of recent Vogue cover star Sabrina Carpenter, Lady Gaga, Tinashe, and Julia Fox with his hyper-femme, modern nostalgia style and, in particular, his Wasp corset. As of last year, his “corset program” consists of 68 sizes ranging from 00 to 30, and four subsizes that reflect height, torso, body type, and cup size.

Of course, it’s a collection completely in step with the bombshell stylistic codes of one Sydney Sweeney. The actor appeared at CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas yesterday (April 1), wearing a look from the Wiederhoeft spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection. The pale, gunmetal silver corset bodice features visible boning and a tight, nipped-in waist, paired with a silk satin, ankle-length skirt as it was on the runway. A Y2K-esque, chunky silver buckle belt sits low on the hips to tie it all together. Sweeney, styled by Molly Dickson, also wore silver pumps. Her glam diverged from what we saw on the Wiederhoeft runway in New York to create a more soft, romantic look; she wore her long blonde hair loose and flowing, with bright pink blush on the apples of her cheeks, and her manicure completely on-trend and naked. While Wiederhoeft revels in the post-modern bride, this look feels rebellious yet refined.

Sweeney appeared alongside her co-star Amanda Seyfried to promote her forthcoming film The Housemaid. The thriller stars Sweeney as Millie, who gets a job as a housemaid for a seemingly sweet and perfect family. Seyfried is Nina, her erratic employer, and Brandon Sklenar as Nina’s husband. Onstage, Sweeney described the film as “messy” and “fucked up.” The Housemaid director Paul Feig is also behind Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick’s forthcoming Another Simple Favor.

“I love when there’s so many unexpected twists and turns,” said Sweeney, who also has more shooting for the third season of Euphoria going on this year.

According to multiple reports this week, Sweeney and fiancé Jonathan Davino have ended their engagement. Sweeney was also seen with former co-star Glen Powell in Dallas, attending the wedding of Powell’s sister. In pictures circulating online, she posed for a picture with the bride, Leslie, wearing an ice-blue dress. She’s caused a bit of online division with the look, with some people on social media claiming it’s too close to a bridal white—two Vogue writers, then, have gone head-to-head on pale-dress-at-a-wedding-etiquette.

Whether she’s in the front pews of a wedding or walking the red carpet, courtside at a basketball game, or going day to night on the streets of New York, Sweeney and her stylist Molly Dickson are going to turn it out.
