CBSE opens online applications for single girl child merit scholarships – Here’s how to apply

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is now accepting online applications for its merit-based scholarship programs. The application process is currently open for two specific scholarships, both with a deadline of December 23.

The two scholarships are:

— Single Girl Child Scholarship X 2024 Scheme: This scholarship is available for female students who have passed Class 10 in 2024 from CBSE and are now studying in Class 11 at CBSE-affiliated schools.

— Single Girl Child Scholarship X 2023 (Renewal 2024) Scheme: This scheme allows eligible students to renew their CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship awarded in 2023.

How to Apply for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship

1. Visit the official CBSE website: cbse.nic.in

2. Click on the link for “Single Girl Child Scholarship X-2024 REG.”

3. Select the relevant scholarship application link.

4. On the new page, choose the application type (fresh or renewal).

5. Click on the option for either “SGC-X Fresh Application” or “Renewal.”

6. Complete the application form and upload the required documents.

7. Submit the application and save a copy for future reference.

Under the Single Girl Child Scholarship scheme, students are eligible to receive Rs 500 per month. The monthly tuition fee for the student must not exceed Rs 1,500 in Class 10, with a 10% increase for Classes 11 and 12.
