Meghalaya Board SSLC Toppers List 2025: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) announced the result on April 5 at 11 am for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Class 10. The students who appeared for the exam can check their results on the official website with the credentials roll number and roll code. The exams took place between February 10 and February 25, 2025.

MBOSE announced the top rank holders in the SSLC Result 2025. Two students secured the first position with identical scores. Leisha Agarwal from St. Margaret’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, and Avila Kathrene P Lyngdoh from North Liberty Higher Secondary School, Jowai, both scored 582 marks to jointly claim the top spot.
The second position was also shared by two students — Evanshan Nongrum of Sacred Heart Boys’ Higher Secondary School, Shillong, and Pori Panday from Jawaharlal Nehru Higher Secondary School, Phulbari. Both students secured 578 marks.
The third rank was jointly bagged by Anushmita Choudhury of St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong; Sourav Pandey from Alpha English Higher Secondary School, Nongpoh; and Eulogemene Rilin L Suting of K.J.P. Synod Mihngi Higher Secondary School, Jowai. All three scored 576 marks.
Meghalaya MBOSE SSLC Result 2025: Pass percentage
Among the top performing districts this year is West Jaintia Hills recording the highest pass percentage of 96.03%, followed closely by Eastern West Khasi Hills at 95.54%, and South West Khasi Hills with 94.93%. East Khasi Hills also demonstrated strong performance with a pass percentage of 92.54%, while East Jaintia Hills recorded 92.40% and West Khasi Hills achieved 90.50%.
In other districts, Ri Bhoi saw an 89.33% pass rate, followed by South Garo Hills at 88.32%. West Garo Hills and East Garo Hills posted similar results with pass percentages of 80.50% and 80.31%, respectively. However, North Garo Hills recorded a slightly lower pass percentage of 75.76%, and South West Garo Hills had the lowest among the Garo Hills districts at 74.77%.
A total of 63,682 students appeared for the SSLC 2025 exam, out of which 55,473 successfully passed, resulting in an overall state pass percentage of 87.10%.
Meghalaya MBOSE SSLC Result 2025: Gender analysis
In the MBOSE SSLC Result 2025, students from both reserved and general categories have shown commendable performance. Among the OBC students, boys recorded a pass percentage of 96.15%, while girls registered 91.53%. In the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category, girls outperformed boys slightly, with pass percentages of 87.25% and 86.19% respectively. For Scheduled Caste (SC) students, the pass percentage stood at 81.63% for girls and 80.43% for boys.
General category students also fared well in the exams. Boys achieved a pass percentage of 92.08%, while girls secured a slightly higher 92.59%, continuing the trend of girls outperforming boys across most categories.

MBOSE SSLC Result 2024: Previous year’s performance
Last year, the SSLC results were announced on May 24. The exams took place from March 4 to March 15, 2024, with 54,134 candidates from 679 schools participating. Out of these, 30,208 students passed, marking an overall pass percentage of 55.80%.
The top scorer was Anuj Chetry from Sherwood School, Tura, with 575 marks, followed by Aleytheia Syiemlieh of St. Margaret’s Higher Secondary School, Shillong, with 574 marks. Congenial Kharsahnoh from the Christian Academy, Shillong, secured the third position with 571 marks.
In 2023, the pass percentage stood at 51.93%. To pass the SSLC exams, students need to secure at least 33% marks.
