Rafael Nadal vs. Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic vs. Jannik Sinner: Major matches Thursday at Six Kings Slam

As popcorn matches go, it will be tough to top Thursday’s semifinals at the Six Kings Slam: Novak Djokovic vs. Jannik Sinner, followed by Rafael Nadal vs. Carlos Alcaraz.

You might want two bags of popcorn, actually.

No, this is not a Grand Slam tournament, but there is plenty on the line—$6 million, to be exact, for the overall winner.

Sinner comes into his match having defeated Daniil Medvedev on Wednesday, 6-0, 6-3. The world No. 1 is 4-4 against Djokovic on tour, with their last meeting coming just days ago in the Shanghai Masters 1000 final. The Italian prevailed 7-6 (4), 6-3.

The last five encounters between Sinner and Djokovic have come on hard courts, with Sinner winning four.

All matches will be aired on T2—go to tennis.com/T2 to see where you can stream it—as well as TennisChannel.com and the Tennis Channel app. Download the app on Apple here and on Android here.

The match schedule:

Thursday, Oct. 17

Saturday, Oct. 19

Nadal and Alcaraz have played each other just three times on tour, with the 21-year-old winning once—their most recent encounter. That was over two years ago, in Madrid.

“I’m gonna go full power,” Alcaraz said after his 6-4, 6-2 victory over Holger Rune, when asked about the upcoming, all-Spanish semifinal. “I will.”
