The ongoing EICMA 2024 gets even more interesting with Indian manufacturers showcasing new motorcycles, and this time, it’s Hero MotoCorp, having unveiled the new Karizma XMR 250. This is the company’s first quarter-litre motorcycle, and it gets a new engine developed by Hero MotoCorp.
The new Hero Karizma XMR 250 features a typical sportbike design with a full fairing, clip-on bars, a twin headlight setup, and air vents on the fairing to cool the engine better. The split seat setup and the sharp lines on the fairing give the motorcycle an aggressive look, and the all-LED lighting gives the motorcycle better illumination.
On the features front, the new Hero Karizma XMR 250 gets USD forks up front, a monoshock at the rear, disc brakes at both ends, 17-inch wheels front and rear, and a TFT instrument console with phone connectivity. The motorcycle will feature dual-channel ABS as well. The clip-on handlebars are height-adjustable as well, giving riders better tunability to better suit their ergonomics.
Moving to the most interesting bit — the engine. The new 250cc engine is an all-new unit and is a liquid-cooled motor. With the increase in capacity, Hero was able to extract more power and the motorcycle now takes competition straight to the Duke 250 with its performance. When launched early next year, the new Hero Karizma will compete with the Suzuki Gixxer 250 SF and other motorcycles in the segment.
