Royal Enfield has pulled the wraps off the new Goan Classic 350, ready to make its grand entrance on November 23 at Motoverse in Goa. They’ve also spilled the beans on the specs and hardware of this 350cc beauty. Will the Goan Classic 350 be the new showstopper in the Royal Enfield lineup? We’ll find out soon enough when the review drops.
The Goan Classic 350 is powered by the 349cc single-cylinder air-oil cooled J-series powertrain. It has an output of 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and according to Royal Enfield, it returns a fuel economy of 36.2 kmpl. The Goan Classic 350 has an accessible seat height of 750 mm, which is the lowest in the Royal Enfield lineup. It has a ground clearance of 170 mm and a fuel tank capacity of 13 litres.
The Goan Classic 350 is based on the twin downtube spine frame and gets all LED lighting including the indicators. It rides on a 19-inch front wheel with a 300 mm disc brake and a 16-inch tyre at the rear with a 270 mm disc brake. It comes standard with dual-channel ABS. The Goan Classic 350 is equipped with 41 mm traditional front forks with a wheel travel of 130 mm and twin coil rear suspensions with 6-step adjustable preload and a travel of 105.3 mm. The new motorcycle is equipped with adjustable clutch and front brake levers.
The single-seater Goan Classic 350 is based on bobber design ethos but it also offers a removable pillion seat. It retains Royal Enfield’s signature peanut-shaped fuel tank, which has a capacity of 13 litres. The Goan Classic 350 gets a special Royal Enfield logo, which is inspired by the sun because let’s face it – when you think of Goa, you think of sunshine and sandy beaches.
The tubeless cross-wire spoke wheels are a blast from the past as they sport white colour sidewalls. The riding stance is laid back as the footpegs are pushed ahead. It also has a new slash-cut exhaust. The new 350 cc gets a semi-analogue instrument cluster with a digital fuel gauge and the navigation Tripper pod. The Goan Classic 350 is available in four colour options — Shack Black, Purple Haze, Trip Teal and Rave Red.
