Dyson has recently introduced its latest product, the Purifier Hot+Cool Gen1, in the Indian market. The UK-based technology firm describes this model as a multifunctional device that offers heating, cooling, and air purification capabilities. Featuring Dyson’s advanced filtration and airflow technologies, the Purifier Hot+Cool Gen1 is designed to detect, capture, and circulate air according to the specific requirements of the room. With a price tag of Rs 56,900, the Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Gen1 is offered in two color options: Black/Nickel and White/White. After utilizing the product for approximately one week, we share our impressions.
The Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Gen1 is equipped with an advanced sensor that automatically identifies particle pollution, such as dust and pollen (PM2.5, PM10), and displays the real-time levels on its LCD screen. For those who are light sleepers, the purifier includes a Night Mode that functions at reduced noise levels and features a dimmed display. Furthermore, a sleep timer is available, allowing the device to turn off automatically after designated intervals of 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours.
The purifier incorporates Dyson’s advanced filtration technology, featuring fully sealed HEPA filters that effectively capture up to 99.95% of ultrafine particles as small as 0.1 microns. Consequently, all contaminants that enter the device remain contained.
The purifier demonstrated exceptional performance in reducing particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10) levels in a room measuring around 250 square feet during testing. In just 15 minutes, it successfully lowered PM2.5 levels from a dangerous 400 µg/m³ to a safe 40 µg/m³, showcasing its efficiency and effectiveness in air purification.
Additionally, the purifier guarantees uniform distribution of purified air across the entire room, maintaining consistent performance even at the periphery of the space.
