European Union’s X Account Reacts To Boomer Trump’s Tariff War With Sad Emoji; Internet Suspects It Is Run By Gen Z

American President Donald Trump’s tariff war on Canada. Mexico, BRICS nations, including China, and also the European Union have created quite a tremor.

Trump is imposing a 25% additional tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico, with 10% on China. While China has retaliated with tariffs on $14 billion worth of American products, Canada has vowed to stand up to the American imposition ‘strongly and firmly.’ Canadian leaders have urged a 100% tariff on Tesla, which is led by billionaire Elon Musk, the chief of DOGE and Trump’s confidant. The tit-for-tat trade war could also begin with Canada and other countries sooner than later and prove to be a migraine for Trump 2.0 in the longer run. No amount of renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America will help. What about the EU?

Ursula von der Leyen, the European Commission President, remarked that they deeply regret Trump’s decision. Ursula vowed a firm and proportionate countermeasure against the US tariffs. In her social media post, she stated, Unjustified tariffs on the EU will not go unanswered—they will trigger firm and proportionate countermeasures. The EU will act to safeguard its interests.” Amid all the cacophony, the X/Twitter profile of the European Union in the U.S. dropped a sad emoji.

Needless to say, the internet is going wild. Some users are wondering whether a Gen Z is running the EU in US account. Amid all the MAGA bois shouting Hail Trump, some American users sympathized, stating, “Very sorry we have an absolute clown as president. Many Americans value friendship with Europe and don’t want this stupid trade war either.”
